- Contact form messages: your name, email and message, used only to reply to you.
- Email sign-ups: your email address (and first name if given), used to send the guides and updates you asked for. You can unsubscribe at any time.
- Purchases: if you buy a guide or software licence, the payment provider processes your payment; we receive your name, email and order details to deliver the product.
- Analytics and cookies: anonymous usage data, and affiliate tracking cookies set when you click an affiliate link, only with your consent where required. See our cookie policy.
Legal basis
We process data with your consent (email sign-ups, non-essential cookies), to perform a contract (purchases), and for our legitimate interest in replying to enquiries and keeping the site secure.
Who we share it with
We use trusted providers to run the site: our web host, our email marketing service, our payment provider and our analytics provider. They process data only on our instructions. When you click an affiliate link, the partner’s own privacy policy applies on their site. We never sell your data.
How long we keep it
Enquiries for up to 2 years, email subscriber data until you unsubscribe, and purchase records for 6 years to meet UK tax rules.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR (and EU GDPR where it applies) you can ask to access, correct, delete or move your data, object to or restrict its use, and withdraw consent at any time. Email us to exercise these rights. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
Residents of California and other US states can request access to or deletion of their data the same way. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising.
